We only utilize the highest quality of Sunbrella fabrics for our Awnings and Patio Shades, making sure you and your outdoor space are protected in any season of the year. However, to ensure that you get the most out of your All Pro shade experience, here are some tips to keeping them clean and in the best condition, especially in Arizona where the weather can get intense.

Patio Screen Care

  • The fabric may not be completely wrinkle-free when you first have the shades installed, which is common, but this will lessen as you use the unit.
  • Keep the fabric clean and dry to avoid mold and mildew. Use a mild soap with a soft brush and immediately complete rinsing after.
  • Hose down the screen with clean water every few months or so on a warm sunny day to allow the fabric to dry out before rolling the shade back up.
  • Avoid getting insect repellant on the fabric, as this may cause staining.
  • Wind damage is indeed possible, so don’t leave the patio fabric out when not in use.
  • Always operate your patio shades patiently and gradually.

Awning Care

  • The fabric may not be completely wrinkle-free when you first have the shades installed, which is common, but this will lessen as you use the unit.
  • Even on mildew-resistant fabric, mildew and mold can still grow from dirt or debris on the top or bottom of the surface.
  • Regularly wash your awning with clean water and a mild soap every few months or so on a warm sunny day to allow the fabric to dry out before retracting them.
  • Avoid keeping shrubbery or vines too near your awning, as many plants contain an acid that can be harmful to the awning’s fabric and frame. Twigs and dirt can also cause damage.
  • Avoid getting insect repellant on the fabric, as this may cause staining.
  • After when it rains, make sure to check for any pockets of water left in the awning fabric as these may cause fabric stretching and eventual damage.
  • Avoid cooking or setting fires beneath an extended awning.
  • Always operate your retractable awnings patiently and gradually.
